The Miss Nutralicious survey results are in!
Thank you to everyone who completed the survey! I learned a lot about my blog from this experiment, and I was surprised to learn what all of you thought about this website. Your responses and feedback really got me thinkin' and I'm looking forward to incorporating some of your suggestions into this space in the near future.
So, what did I learn?
- 5% of readers are under age 20. Based on the fact that someone recently found my blog by searching the web for "I want a jockstrap but I'm embarrassed to ask my mom" (most likely due to this post), I'm not surprised. Hi kids, I hope Miss Nutralicious has been helpful.
- 67% of readers are between 21-29: Hey 21-29 year-old's, how you doin'? Thanks for checking out my corner of cyberspace.
- 27% of readers are between 30-39: Hi-ya! Thanks for stopping by!
- No one over the age of 39 reads my blog. Looks like I'm not hip with the older crowd.
Does it bother you that I am an anonymous blogger?
Ok, just to be sure, we're all laughing, right? Everyone knows that I'm not a murderer? Seriously, I'm just a girl that prefers to blog semi-anonymously. I promise! I mean, there was one time when I was driving late at night and I hit a raccoon, but in my defense the creature ran directly in front of my car, and I'm not even certain it died. To be safe though, I'm going to state it for the record:
I AM NOT A MURDERER!*
Oh, and the one-third of you who love me no matter what? I truly think the raccoon died. Thanks for supporting me even though I'm a murderer!
*This statement may or may not apply towards raccoons.
What is your favorite topic to read about on this blog?
How do you prefer that I respond to blog comments?
My new plan is to mix it up. If I think your comment deserves a private response, I'll send you an email. Otherwise, I'll respond to your comment in the comment thread. I'm going to be playing around with this, so please bear with me. Either way, I promise I will always respond to your comment in some form. Maybe even by fax (but probably not)!
WAIT. SOMEONE CLAIMS TO KNOW ME IN REAL LIFE!?!?
When I saw the results to this question, I panicked. Then I yelled, "Oh my gosh! Who do I know in the real world that found my semi-anonymous blog?!? WHO ARE YOU!?!?!"
Then, there was this:
My semi-anonymity has been semi-ruined.
Thanks to everyone who completed my survey, I am looking forward to using all of your ideas to improve this space!
Oh wait, were you wondering what my brother thought about the Miss Nutralicious blog? Well, he called me the next morning to tell me that he liked reading my posts and that I had inspired him to create his own anonymous blog (I think he was joking). Then he told me that before starting his own blog he needed to take a break from people and technology. He planned to do this by spending some alone time in the desert.
Again, I thought he was joking.
Turns out he wasn't.
Three days later, Clive returned from his solo trip to the Mojave Desert, called me again, and asked if he could write an anonymous guest post for the Miss Nutralicious blog about his desert experience. I could only conclude that this would be an excellent idea. Check back Monday. You won't be disappointed.
