I just wanted to do a quick check-in on the blog to let y’all know that I’m still alive.
Remember last month when I had a baby? And, remember how I wrote a few posts prior to delivering my baby so that I could keep the blog up and running while I took a brief “blogging maternity leave”?
Well, my stockpile of posts has dwindled. More accurately, I’m down to zero posts in queue.
Why am I sharing this information?
A few reasons:
1) I have A LOT of blog post ideas, but I still haven’t figured out how to write with a baby at home. Seriously. How do people with babies blog? When she falls asleep, so do I. When she is awake, she wants to be held (and I want to hold her). I can’t type with one hand!!!
2) I’m sleep deprived. Really, VERY sleep deprived. Some people can handle tiny amounts of sleep. I can’t. Being tired makes it difficult for me to vocalize a complete sentence let alone type a sentence that makes sense.
Needless to say (or type, if you will) my current options are to A) extend my blogging maternity leave indefinitely, or B) make a slow blogging comeback and sporadically publish blog posts whenever I have time to post.
Option B it is!
So today, I just want to say a big HELLO to everyone and attempt to gather my scattered thoughts in order to provide a life update. Here's what I've been doing lately:
I recently had a mild set back when after only 4 days of running I decided to see how far I could run in 20 minutes. The answer? I was able to run 2.25 miles in 20 minutes, but now I can barely walk and it feels like my knees are going to fall off.
I’m still confident that it’s only a matter of time before I can run faster and breathe quieter. (Have you ever been unaware that a car was coming up behind you because you were breathing so loud? I’m not saying this happened to me, but seriously, if it did, I would like to tell that driver that the honking was unnecessary.)
Check out my pretty new running shoes!
2) All Things Baby
I really like her.
It’s official, when it comes to fashion, baby clothing is the cutest.
3) Writing Thank-You Notes
4) NOT Sleeping
Obviously, neither of us is sleeping very much.
5) Reading blogs at 3 am, but being unable to comment because I’m holding my daughter and (as mentioned previously) I CAN’T TYPE USING ONLY ONE HAND!
This post was brought to you by my right hand and the help of a baby. Team work!
I hope everyone is super awesome!
