Baby Shower In January, my mother-in-law and three of my husband's aunts organized and co-hosted a baby shower for me. It was a super fun day! They also surprised me by asking guests to bring their favorite children's books as gifts. Now, my baby has a bookshelf loaded with awesome books! A lot of the books have handwritten heartfelt notes on the inside covers too. So cool!
My Hair I admit it, this is a weird thing to be thankful for. The thing is, my hair always cooperates with me. I don't have to spend money on hair products, I can roll out of bed and go about my business without having to do anything to my hair. I can even get by with getting a haircut twice per year. My hair appreciates my laid back lifestyle and I appreciate my hair.
Sunshine This winter has been cold, but it's nothin' compared to the dark and gloomy polar vortex that invaded my state last year. This year, the sun comes out during daytime. Much more bearable. Thank you Mr. Sunshine!
Snow Days Thanks to 15+ inches of snow in one night last week, my husband had two snow days in a row. Did he curl up on the couch with a warm fuzzy blanket and watch movies all day? Nope! He spent his time off assembling all of our new baby accessories, vacuuming, mopping and cleaning the house. He's a winner!
Huh. I hadn't even considered building a mudroom because, well, I didn't think we had the room, money, or time to build one. Thanks to free labor from my husband and father-in-law plus some pinterest research on my end and...ta-da! Look what they did!
It's a tiny space, so taking pictures was challenging, but how great is this storage area?!? Um, super great!
